Position Summary

  • Secure prior authorization and manage patient care under the guidance of a pharmacist.
  • Facilitate patient access to medications and optimize therapeutic outcomes.
  • Respond to inquiries, confirm medication coverage, and assist with medication logistics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive information regarding pharmacy benefit structures to patients, caregivers, and the clinical team.
  • Clarify the scope of pharmacy services to patients and their families.
  • Assist in coordinating prescription deliveries.
  • Accurately prepare new and refill prescriptions.
  • Engage in initiatives aimed at process enhancement.
  • Follow up on insurance and coverage inquiries.
  • Maintain and update patient records.
  • Verify insurance coverage and inform patients about their financial responsibilities.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required; a Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience is necessary.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities.
  • Capacity to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient computer skills and adeptness in managing multiple insurance matters.

Training Requirements

  • Mandatory training within the initial 30 days includes Website Insurance Training, EPIC training & testing, among others.
  • Prior experience with pharmacy systems and medical terminology is preferred.
