POSITION SUMMARY

The role of the Solar Installer involves collaborating with a team to ensure an exceptional customer experience by executing high-quality installations safely and efficiently.

Safety is our utmost priority, encompassing our team, our clients, and their properties. The Solar Installer is required to adhere to all safety protocols and stay informed about advancements in photovoltaic (PV) technology.

This position calls for a flexible individual who is eager to learn and possesses strong communication skills. The Solar Installer will primarily work on-site with clients, necessitating significant travel across the region. A commitment to providing excellent care for our customers and colleagues is essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Solar Installer will:

  • Install photovoltaic systems in compliance with relevant codes and standards, utilizing drawings and schematics.
  • Accurately design and install solar racking systems for both ground and roof-mounted installations.
  • Mount and connect PV modules according to specified designs.
  • Label solar system components and hardware as required.
  • Collaborate effectively with the installation team on various PV system projects.
  • Contribute positively to SunCommon's culture by fostering a supportive and enthusiastic team environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience in construction, electrical work, or the solar industry.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must be able to:

  • Lift up to 50 lbs regularly and perform physical activities requiring the use of arms and legs.
  • Work at heights using ladders, scaffolding, and lifts.
  • Travel throughout the region, including extended driving hours.
