Key Responsibilities:
  • Patrol and Response: Patrol University buildings, grounds, and adjacent areas to prevent and respond to incidents, ensuring the safety and security of the campus community.
  • Enforcement and Investigation: Enforce University regulations and Massachusetts laws, investigating incidents and preparing detailed reports as needed.
  • Community Engagement: Foster positive relationships with the campus community, providing assistance and support as needed.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to emergency situations, including fires, medical emergencies, and other critical incidents.
  • Communication and Coordination: Maintain effective communication with other departments and agencies, ensuring a coordinated response to incidents and emergencies.
Requirements:
  • Education: Associate's degree required, plus up to 2 years of related work experience.
  • Licensure: MA state driver's license required.
  • Age: At least 21 years of age.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • POST Certification: Successful completion of the Commonwealth P.O.S.T. certified academy.
  • Firearms License: Ability to obtain and retain a Massachusetts Class A license to carry a firearm.
  • First Aid and CPR: Certification in first aid and CPR.
