Job Summary

Brandeis University is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Police Officer to join our team. As a Police Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, and staff. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol University buildings, grounds, and adjacent areas to prevent and respond to incidents.
  • Enforce University regulations and Massachusetts laws, exercising discretion and good judgment.
  • Investigate complaints and prepare detailed reports of incidents.
  • Provide emergency and courtesy transportation for students, faculty, and staff.
  • Perform dispatch duties, including handling incoming reports and dispatching patrol cars.
Requirements
  • Associates degree required, plus up to 2 years of related work experience.
  • MA state driver's license required.
  • At least 21 years of age.

Successful completion of the Commonwealth P.O.S.T. certified academy is required. Additionally, you must be able to obtain and retain a Massachusetts Class A license to carry a firearm and successfully complete firearms qualifications per Department standards. First Aid and CPR certification is also required.
