Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Hardware Design Engineer to join our team at Alarm.com. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative hardware solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with our VP of Technology to implement new hardware designs and architectures.
  • Develop and maintain system architecture, build, and project plans for new product evaluation.
  • Design and develop hardware components, including schematic design, PCB layout, and design verification.
  • Work closely with RF design engineers to optimize RF performance and minimize EMI.
  • Collaborate with mechanical design engineers to meet product requirements with challenging space constraints.
  • Work closely with firmware engineers to ensure efficient hardware verification and board bring-up.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or a similar technical discipline.
  • 8+ years of electrical hardware engineering experience, including schematic capture, layout design, and hardware bring-up.
  • Skilled in circuit design, simulation, and testing.
  • Knowledgeable and forward-thinking regarding technologies and developments in low power design.
  • Rigorous attention to detail with focus on robustness, scalability, and quality of products.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
