Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled CDL Route Driver to join our team. As a CDL Route Driver, you will operate a Class B Hazmat vehicle, delivering compressed and liquid gas cylinders and hard goods along designated routes. Collecting empty cylinders from customers, recording transactions, obtaining signatures, addressing customer inquiries, ensuring satisfaction, handling loading/unloading, conducting pre/post-trip vehicle checks, noting issues, and ensuring safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meet required physical driver qualifications.
  • Proficiency in English language for communication, signs, and documentation.
  • Strong verbal skills, self-motivation, attention to detail, and goal-oriented.
  • Analytical problem-solving for customer inquiries.
  • Positive team player with adaptability.
  • Ability to comprehend MSDS and perform lifting tasks.
  • Must be able to drive Hazmat cargo for up to 8 hours, frequent bending is also required.
  • Ability to routinely lift 25 - 75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 100 lbs.
  • Must be able to work overtime when necessary.
  • Outdoor work in varying temperatures.
  • Operation of warehouse equipment including forklift and pallet jack.
  • Adherence to safety regulations and policies.
  • Valid driver's license and necessary endorsements.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in changing temperatures.
  • Ability to maintain a drug-free workplace.
Requirements:
  • Minimum age: 21 years.
  • Must have a Class B or better Commercial Drivers' License with HAZMAT endorsement.
  • Successful completion of Airgas Background and Motor Vehicle Check.
  • DOT Clearinghouse verification from previous employers is required.
  • One year of experience driving similar commercial vehicles within the last five years or completion of an accredited truck driving school program.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse individuals.
  • Ability to work in a drug-free environment.

Estimated Salary Range:

$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
