Job Description

Our client, a reputable General Contractor, is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Project Manager to join their team. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of commercial construction projects in the Life Sciences sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement project schedules, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
  • Review and coordinate project drawings, specifications, and estimates.
  • Collaborate with the project development team to develop architecture, interior design, and construction specifications.
  • Conduct project kick-off meetings with the VP of Construction and project team.
  • Coordinate materials and supplies with vendors.
  • Monitor expenditures and identify variances between estimated budget and revenue.
  • Implement corrective actions to ensure project goals are met.
  • Coordinate with the production team to ensure projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Make decisions regarding project cost, time, methods, and performance.
  • Accountable for contract administration, execution, job cost tracking, billing, change order control system, claims, and job closeout.
  • Participate in company project management meetings to review performance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Building Construction Management or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience managing commercial construction projects.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in the Life Sciences sector.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a budget range of $4.5M to $20M.
  • Knowledge of codes and general construction methods.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand contracts.
  • Experience in writing detailed scopes of work.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and estimating software.
  • Excellent people management, communication, and negotiating skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage priorities.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate complex information clearly.
  • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
