Salary Range: $56,313 - $116,408, determined by relevant experience and highest level of education completed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Possess experience and knowledge of WIDA (World-class Instructional Design and Assessment).
- Conduct WIDA Assessments and monitor student progress.
- Demonstrate strong ability to interpret WIDA data and provide reports.
- Experience with Distance Teaching and Learning methodologies.
- Extensive familiarity with educational software (Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, Google Classroom).
- Design and implement lesson plans that utilize a variety of effective differentiated techniques and strategies, addressing all facets of communication to enhance each student's ability to read, write, speak, and listen in content areas, ensuring English learners can effectively engage with the instructional program.
- Commit to delivering a world-class education to students from historically underserved communities.
- Provide inclusive instruction and support for ELL students.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to facilitate differentiated instruction.
- Understand and adhere to policies, rules, and regulations regarding English learners.
- Participate in IEP, Section 504, or other relevant meetings necessary for student assessment and compliance with federal and state laws as they pertain to English learners.
- Deliver instruction aligned with the Friendship Network's educational program to ensure ELL students meet or exceed grade-level learning targets.
- Develop and execute lesson plans employing a broad range of effective teaching techniques and strategies.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of student progress, including progress notes and report cards.
- Act as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders.
- Adapt curriculum to provide individualized, small group, and/or remedial instruction to meet the needs of individual students and subgroups.
- Utilize a variety of instructional techniques and strategies to cater to diverse student aptitudes and interests.
- Leverage assessment data to refine curriculum and inform instructional practices.
- Be accountable for achieving individual student growth targets for assigned caseload.
- Create a positive, achievement-oriented learning environment.
- Reflect on successes and areas for improvement, seek to enhance performance, and respond strategically to feedback.
- Engage in collaborative curriculum development, grade-level activities, and school-wide initiatives.
- Involve parents and families in their children's academic success through regular communication.
- Manage allocated learning time effectively to maximize student achievement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Organizational Strength & Viability:
- Encourage parent involvement through meaningful and consistent communication.
- Uphold high professional standards in communication with students, teachers, parents, and school administrators.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Successful completion of the Praxis II Exam.
- Minimum of one year of teaching experience with demonstrated high student achievement and significant growth.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree.
- Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development and/or continuing education.
- Two years of teaching experience with demonstrated high student achievement and significant growth.
