Airport Operations Manager Job Description

The Airport Operations Manager plays a crucial role in directing the daily operations of frontline employees, ensuring maximum performance, customer satisfaction, and positive employee culture. This position is responsible for overseeing the activities of CSAs, CXAs, Flex Reps, VSAs, and other non-exempt employees, and may assist the Senior Operations Manager in leading a brand or department of an airport location.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for daily operations, fleet availability, and revenue generation for assigned functions
  • Leads and supports processes to meet and exceed customer expectations, ensuring alignment of the sales force with sales methods and processes
  • Resolves customer issues, ensuring a positive customer experience
  • Drives the sales process to create a dynamic, customer-focused zone commercial organization focused on selling value-added solutions (VAS)
  • Champions productivity improvements via employee involvement and accountability, ensuring employees follow the Standards of Work (SOW)
  • Engages in effective communication plans to build employee engagement and achieve business results
  • Conducts performance evaluations and manages airport locations/geographic areas when the General Manager is not present
  • Participates in the recruiting process and provides management with updates and indicators as requested
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 1-3 Years prior experience in customer service or operations, with experience in car rental, hospitality, or tourism a plus
  • Results orientation, ability to direct and motivate teams, and effective communication skills
  • Knowledge of customer service resolution practices, sales management/coaching, and operations management
  • Skills in problem-solving, time management, and customer service aptitude
