Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist II to join our team at OU Health - 1200 Children's Avenue. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing advanced level professional work in exposing and processing radiographic images and fluoroscopy examinations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Imaging Expertise: Operate standard and portable radiology equipment to perform radiographic examinations and fluoroscopy studies, including intravenous pyelography, cystography, gastro-intestinal series, and body section radiography.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Assist physicians and perform specialized imaging procedures, while maintaining effective communication with patients and healthcare teams.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Troubleshoot and resolve problems regarding equipment and/or film output, ensuring optimal performance and image quality.
  • Training and Development: Act as a resource and preceptor for other Radiographers and/or students, participating in training programs to enhance radiology skills and knowledge.
  • Administrative Tasks: Maintain records, inventory, and equipment for the area of primary responsibility, performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and Skills: Possess knowledge of the techniques of diagnostic radiography, operation and maintenance of radiographic equipment, and ability to prioritize assignments.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Demonstrate good interpersonal skills, ability to assess, treat, and care for patients of varying ages, and communicate technical information effectively.
  • Computer Literacy: Possess computer skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
