Position Overview
TravelCenters of America offers a comprehensive shopping experience for our customers.

We provide a diverse range of name-brand products, including Grab 'N Go foods, groceries, snacks, electronics, maintenance supplies, and more. The Fuel Operations Supervisor assists the General Manager in overseeing the operations and marketing functions of the Fuel Building.

Key responsibilities include staffing, training, development, general supervision of the team, and enhancing profitability. The Fuel Operations Supervisor ensures that every traveler leaves better than they arrived.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and motivate your team to meet and exceed performance standards, enhancing the potential of the Fuel department (e.g., efficient customer service, product knowledge, positive atmosphere).
  • Create a trusting environment that encourages feedback from team members and guests; coach and manage staff in accordance with company policies.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and retain high-quality team members, fostering a culture of respect and recognition for achievements.
  • Achieve financial goals through effective management of personnel, products, services, and facility processes, focusing on revenue and profit.
  • Adhere to safety standards and operational guidelines, maintaining vendor relationships.
  • Perform duties of any hourly associate position as needed.

Qualifications:
  • A leader who exemplifies teamwork while working alongside staff.
  • Ability to inspire, train, and develop team members to unlock their potential.
  • High School Diploma (or GED) required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Supervisory experience in convenience stores, truck service, travel centers, or related fields is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; operational knowledge of POS software.
