At Portland Webworks, we're seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to join our team. This is a rare opportunity to work on exciting projects that have a direct impact on people's lives.
We're looking for someone who can juggle performance, ease of implementation, and ease of change, with visibility of and vision for the full stack.
The ideal candidate will be able to craft a UI, create necessary APIs, and server-side functionality, while analyzing external APIs and designing REST interfaces and GraphQL schemas.
A strong understanding of software design patterns, refactoring techniques, branching strategies, accessibility, performance, unit and integration testing, internationalization, and tools for creating modern web applications and cross-platform mobile applications is essential.
We use Java with Spring Boot on the back-end and React and React Native for front-end development. Familiarity with GraphQL, NextJS, JPA, Liquibase, Tailwind, Ant Design and Material UI Kits, Typescript, Gradle, Sass, AWS, and Docker is a plus.
As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for translating client requirements into best-practice patterns, helping less experienced developers find the right ways of doing things, and delivering high-quality products that meet internal designs and client visions.
We value wisdom, curiosity, and a sense of fun. Our work is meaningful, and we strive for excellence in everything we do. We're proud to be consistently named one of Maine's 'Best Places to Work.'
What We Offer:
We provide 100% paid health and dental benefits, health reimbursement accounts, flexible spending and dependent care accounts, company matching retirement plans, annual profit sharing, flexible scheduling, up to 25 days paid vacation, free parking, and Friday happy hours.
