Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team at Portland Webworks. As a key member of our technical team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of software projects.

Job Description

A successful candidate for this position will have a strong focus on business outcomes and be comfortable collaborating with team members through all stages of a project. You will be responsible for configuring software systems, setting up environments, and implementing processes for deploying software systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with cutting-edge technologies to deliver high-quality solutions across multiple industries.
  • Collaborate with Drupal and Java software development teams to automate build and deployment processes.
  • Configure high availability hosting configurations in Amazon Web Services.
  • Maintain internal software, hardware, and networking systems.
  • Work on security compliance efforts and provide some off-hours support.
Requirements
  • Strong Linux administration skills.
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS, and HTTP(S).
  • Thorough understanding of security best practices.
  • Experience with high availability hosting configurations.
  • Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle.
  • Thorough understanding of Git and other version control systems.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Jenkins, CircleCI, or other build automation and continuous integration systems.
  • Experience with high availability hosting configurations using AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
  • Experience with Active Directory, LDAP, and SSO solutions.
  • Experience with Docker.
  • Security training or certifications (CCSP, SSCP, etc.).
  • Experience maintaining Tomcat, Jetty, Glassfish, or other Java Application Servers.
  • Experience with automation and configuration management tools.
