About the Role:
This is an opportunity to work in a dynamic and resilient industry with a focus on hands-on problem solving within a collaborative team environment. Enjoy a balanced work schedule averaging 45 hours per week without the burden of excessive overtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the mechanical authority and troubleshooting expert for the facility.
- Enhance manufacturing workflows by implementing improvements that reduce waste and boost efficiency.
- Diagnose and resolve equipment and process issues effectively.
- Design and optimize production line layouts to maximize throughput.
- Manage timelines and budgets for multiple projects focused on continuous improvement and capital investments.
- Collaborate with support teams to minimize equipment downtime.
- Work alongside operations to conduct root cause analysis and resolve production challenges.
- Engage with both hourly and salaried personnel to meet production and engineering objectives.
- Assist the maintenance team with mechanical troubleshooting as required.
- Prepare project proposals and conduct cost justifications.
- Respond to work requests and prioritize tasks accordingly.
- Source necessary parts and materials as needed.
- Implement design modifications on the production floor to enhance efficiency.
- Continuously monitor the SCADA system.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and process troubleshooting.
- Utilize Power BI for project documentation and status reporting.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Position Requirements:
- Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in process or manufacturing engineering.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
- Experience in engineering roles within manufacturing settings.
- Proven track record of identifying and implementing process enhancements.
- Project management experience, including adherence to timelines.
- Experience overseeing capital expenditure projects.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with capital expenditure project oversight.
- Lean and/or Six Sigma training or certifications.
- Familiarity with process-oriented manufacturing.
- Knowledge of PLC automation.
