Job Summary

A leading engineering firm, GPAC, is seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join their team. As a Geotechnical Engineer at GPAC, you will play a crucial role in providing expert knowledge and services to clients in the AEC industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyze data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents related to soil profiles for various properties.
  • Reduce and organize data to provide recommendations for foundation design, ensuring the stability and safety of structures.
  • Conduct on-site observations of excavation techniques and soil sampling to gather valuable insights.
  • Collaborate with geotechnical staff to co-design multiple engineering projects, ensuring timely and successful completion.
  • Work closely with project management teams to monitor progress and implement initiatives effectively.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in Geotechnical Engineering, with a strong background in soil mechanics and foundation design.
  • Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering, with a focus on geotechnical engineering principles.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification, with the ability to obtain PE certification within the next year.
  • Proven experience in managing geotechnical projects, including bridges, roadways, retaining walls, slopes, and embankments, buildings, and ground improvement methods.
  • Strong understanding of AASHTO and ASTM Standards, as well as practical experience with CAD and geotechnical analysis software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, gINT, and other geotechnical analysis software, with a strong understanding of data analysis and interpretation.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive salary range of $75,000 to $100,000, depending on experience.
  • Excellent benefits package, including profit-sharing options and generous paid time off.
