Job Overview

The Application Solutions Engineer plays a pivotal role in delivering technical solutions, schematics, and support to the Inside Sales & Contracts teams for Key Accounts, focusing on valve actuators and their applications, particularly in fluid power and related controls and accessories.

This position reports to the Inside Sales & Contracts Supervisor and provides a unique opportunity to work closely with Inside Sales on intricate quotations, ensuring that the bill of materials in the system for each order is accurate by collaborating with Contracts and Engineering. Additionally, this role serves as a mentor and support resource for Production Technicians and RSS in the assembly and troubleshooting of RFS applications.

Training is a critical aspect of this role, aimed at minimizing the support required across departments. Therefore, this position necessitates delivering appropriate training to each group.

Qualifications

Experience Requirements:

  • A technical degree, preferably a Bachelor's in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (other engineering disciplines or equivalent experience will also be considered).
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, with Solid Edge being preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in application engineering or inside sales is preferred.
  • Experience in pneumatics/hydraulics applications engineering and controls is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and capable of quickly learning and utilizing business software and internal systems.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret customer-supplied specifications, data sheets, drawings, and schematics.
