Postdoctoral Research Fellow

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join our dynamic research team at the University of Minnesota. As a key member of our lab, you will contribute to our multidisciplinary research efforts to understand the fundamental molecular motions and interactions responsible for cellular movement.
Our goal is to determine the molecular bases of muscle disorders and devise novel therapies based on these discoveries. We approach this complex problem with a wide range of techniques, including physiology, enzyme kinetics, molecular genetics, peptide synthesis, and computer simulation.
As a Postdoctoral Fellow, you will be responsible for developing and applying biophysical methods for structural and functional analysis of muscle proteins. You will also write papers based on your work for publication in scientific journals and present your research at national and international scientific meetings.
We are looking for a candidate with a PhD in biochemistry, biophysics, physics, or chemistry and experience in EPR, fluorescence, phosphorescence, muscle, or membrane proteins. Experience in myosin biochemistry is a plus.
