The University of Minnesota's Institute on the Biology of Aging and Metabolism is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our interdisciplinary team. As a Postdoctoral Researcher, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge research projects focused on the biology of aging and its impact on chronic diseases.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct independent research in the laboratory, designing and executing experiments to investigate the mechanisms of aging and age-related diseases.
- Collaborate with our team of researchers to develop and implement new research projects and ideas.
- Present research findings at national and international conferences and publish papers in top-tier scientific journals.
- Train and mentor graduate and undergraduate students in research techniques and laboratory procedures.
- Ph.D. in molecular and cellular biology or a related field.
- Experience with murine models of disease and behavioral studies in mice.
- Strong background in cell culture, tissue processing, and fluorescence microscopy.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

About Our TeamThe Institute on the Biology of Aging and Metabolism is an interdisciplinary, trans-departmental endeavor across the University of Minnesota Medical School to advance research on the fundamental biology of aging. We are embracing the Geroscience approach to aging research, which aims to discover fundamental mechanisms of aging that can be therapeutically targeted to diminish the risk of all diseases of old age with a single intervention.
