Job Overview

The Beverage Service Specialist is tasked with delivering exceptional alcoholic beverage and food service to all patrons in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner, exemplifying a high standard of customer satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures outstanding customer service by mastering daily operations and emphasizing the essential service steps.
  • Welcomes and seats guests while efficiently taking drink and food orders, accurately inputting them into the point-of-sale system.
  • Continuously assesses guest needs to guarantee quality and accuracy of food and beverage offerings.
  • Timely clears tables throughout the dining experience and prepares them for the next guests.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of the bar, storage areas, dining space, and service stations.
  • Completes assigned side duties, ensuring that wait stations are well-stocked for subsequent shifts.
  • Stays informed about all food and beverage selections, including daily menu updates and specials.
  • Communicates any guest concerns, complaints, or suggestions to management to enhance service quality.
  • Safeguards company assets and accurately balances assigned cash drawer.
  • Performs additional tasks as directed by management.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While executing the responsibilities of this role, team members may encounter secondhand tobacco smoke, particularly those working in gaming areas. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate but may occasionally rise to high levels for brief periods.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be capable of sitting, standing, and/or walking for up to 8 hours.
  • Must frequently carry, reach, twist, bend, and squat.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance when necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must obtain an OLCC Permit within 30 days of employment.
  • Must acquire a Food Handlers Card within 30 days of employment.
  • Preferred: 1 year of experience in bartending or food service.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must comply with pre-employment, random, and reasonable suspicion alcohol and drug testing.
  • Must receive and maintain a valid gaming license from the relevant gaming authority.
  • Availability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on departmental needs and special events.
