The Environmental Services Technician 1 plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the casino environment. This position ensures that all areas are sanitized and presentable for guests and staff alike.
Key Responsibilities
- Address immediate cleaning requests on the casino floor, particularly for spills or hazardous materials.
- Maintain and sanitize restrooms, ensuring that all supplies are adequately stocked.
- Assist the Food and Beverage department in clearing beverage containers from the gaming area.
- Dust and clean various surfaces, including mechanical devices, tables, and counters.
- Disinfect frequently touched areas such as gaming machines, ATMs, chairs, and door handles.
- Vacuum carpets and perform sweeping and mopping duties throughout the casino.
- Steam clean carpets in designated areas as directed by management.
- Empty and sanitize trash receptacles within the casino.
- Monitor cleanliness in casino offices and team member areas, including dining facilities.
- Assist with deep cleaning tasks in kitchen areas as requested.
- Utilize cleaning equipment safely and report any hazards to the Team Leader promptly.
- Perform minor repairs on equipment and tools as needed.
- Carry out additional tasks as assigned by management.
Work Environment
This role may involve exposure to secondhand tobacco smoke, particularly for those working on the casino floor. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate but can occasionally be high.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively using a multichannel radio.
- Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods, up to 8 hours.
- Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, and squatting are required.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds with assistance.

Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations regarding safe chemical use is essential.
- Possession or ability to obtain a Food Handlers Card/OLCC Permit within 30 days of employment.
- Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are required.
- Compliance with pre-employment and random drug testing is mandatory.
- Must obtain and maintain a valid gaming license.
- Willingness to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
