Behavioral Health Nursing Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in Lynchburg, Virginia. As a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse, you will provide compassionate care to patients with mental health conditions. Your responsibilities will include assessing, planning, and implementing individualized treatment plans, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, and advocating for patients' well-being.
About the Role
As a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in promoting recovery and facilitating positive outcomes for patients in the behavioral health setting. You will work closely with psychiatrists, therapists, and social workers to coordinate care and support patients' overall well-being.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate and holistic nursing care to patients with mental health disorders
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' mental health status
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care
- Advocate for patients' rights and promote a supportive environment
Requirements
- Current RN license
- BLS (other certifications as required by facility)
- 2 years of recent Behavioral Health experience
- Strong communication and adaptability skills
