Nursing Care Specialist Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and compassionate Nursing Care Specialist to join our team at Horizon Behavioral Health. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the well-being of our community.

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 per year

About the Position:

The Nursing Care Specialist will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to assigned individuals, including basic nursing assessments, client/family education, and diagnostic procedures. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of healthcare principles, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality patient care, adhering to professional standards and best practicesConduct thorough nursing assessments and develop effective treatment plansCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient careCommunicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals

Requirements:

Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of VAOne year of experience providing nursing services as an LPN or equivalent combination of education and experienceStrong knowledge of healthcare principles, including behavior modification, cognitive behavioral therapy, and emergency interventionsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills
