Job Title: Behavioral Health Specialist

At Horizon Behavioral Health, we're seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families in our community.

The successful candidate will provide mobile crisis response services in community settings, including homes, schools, and places of employment or education. With a focus on assessment, de-escalation, and support, this role requires strong clinical skills and the ability to work effectively with individuals experiencing behavioral health crises. As part of our team, you'll have ongoing support and guidance from a licensed supervisor, ensuring your success and growth in this critical role.

This position offers a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. Additionally, you'll enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including participation in the Virginia Retirement System (VRS), life, health, dental, and vision insurance, generous annual leave time, and opportunities for professional development and growth.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in an applicable human services field.
  • A minimum of one year of documented clinical experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience that qualifies the incumbent as a QMHP-A or QMHP-C.
