Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at the Renaissance Phoenix Downtown Hotel. As a key member of our Rooms Operations team, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day activities of our front office, housekeeping, and guest services departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the management of front office operations, including guest arrival and departure procedures, and maintaining the property's cleanliness standards.
  • Support the supervision of housekeeping, recreation, laundry, and concierge/guest services teams.
  • Run and review critical information contained in room operations reports.
  • Operate all department equipment as necessary and report malfunctions.
  • Ensure employees have the proper supplies and uniforms.
  • Understand and comply with loss prevention policies and procedures.
  • Communicate performance expectations to employees in accordance with job descriptions.
  • Handle employee questions and concerns.
  • Effectively schedule employees to business demands and track employee time and attendance.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED; 3 years experience in the guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area.
  • OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 1 year experience in the guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area.
