Senior Treasury Analyst, FX

At Expedia's Treasury FX division, we oversee the management of foreign currency risks arising from over $100 billion in annual gross bookings across more than 75 countries. Our team collaborates closely with tax, accounting, finance, and legal departments to ensure adequate liquidity and funding for our global business operations.

As a vital member of the FX team, you will be instrumental in managing Expedia's exposure to foreign currency fluctuations. This role is ideal for individuals who possess a strong passion for finance, enjoy analytical thinking, and have a keen interest in global currency markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee foreign currency risk for a diverse FX hedge portfolio, including cash flow hedging, balance sheet hedging, and net investment hedging.
  • Identify currency exposures and formulate effective hedge strategies.
  • Engage with FX banking partners.
  • Evaluate hedging performance and investigate any discrepancies or anomalies.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance program effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the cash management team to address global liquidity requirements.
  • Work alongside internal teams such as accounting, tax, legal, and external advisors.
  • Assist with additional Treasury projects and functions as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in Treasury, Accounting, Finance, or Banking.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • High level of integrity, initiative, motivation, and curiosity.
  • Articulate, dependable, and organized team player.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • MBA, CPA, CFA, or other professional certifications and/or experience in the FX industry is a plus.

The total cash compensation for this position in Seattle ranges from $82,500 to $115,000. Employees in this role have the potential to earn up to $132,000, contingent upon ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance.
