Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for personal care tasks such as grooming, bathing, catheter care, perineal care, and dressing, while observing residents in accordance with patient care policies. Identify and report any conditions that require management's attention.
  • Change bed linens and ensure that grooming supplies are adequately stocked in resident rooms.
  • Assist residents with ambulation and transfers, using appropriate assistive devices and proper body mechanics.
  • Document residents' vital signs, weights, measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other assigned information.
  • Regularly reposition and turn patients.
  • Conduct range of motion exercises and reality orientation with residents as directed.

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Nursing Assistant from the state.
  • Ability to accurately record information and perform technical procedures.
  • Strong communication skills, with a high degree of self-discipline and patience.
  • Genuine compassion for and interest in caring for elderly and disabled individuals.
  • Ability to adhere to the Patient Bill of Rights and Employee Responsibilities.
  • Commitment to following Company and departmental safety policies and procedures.
