Summary:

The LPN will assist in wound care, management of supplies, and order placements, while actively supporting the department's needs.

The CPUP Licensed Practical Nurse supports physicians and provides healthcare services to patients in various medical settings.

Monitors and documents patient conditions, collects samples, and performs additional tasks as directed by registered nurses and physicians.


Key Responsibilities:
Conducts electrocardiograms (EKG) and screening assessments.
Collects and tests specimens in accordance with standard operating procedures, documenting results and taking appropriate actions for unexpected findings. Prepares specimens for transport as required.
Gathers patient information and directs it to the RN or Provider when necessary.
Assists the provider during surgical procedures, including patient positioning, maintaining a sterile environment, and managing wound cleaning and dressing.
Completes necessary paperwork for patient visits.
Records and documents patient vital signs as needed, reporting any abnormal results to the provider.
Ensures cleanliness, disinfection, and sterilization of instruments and equipment, verifying their proper functioning.
Maintains medication storage areas.
Participates in the orientation of new team members.

Additional Responsibilities:
Practices as an LPN in assisting with procedures, wound care, and bandaging.
Responsible for ordering supplies and managing patient paperwork and communications.
Administers prescribed medications, performs injections and vaccinations, and interprets PPD results.
Exhibits strong organizational and time management skills.
Demonstrates the ability to assist the team as needed.
Maintains a positive attitude and eagerness to learn.

Qualifications:
Licensed Practical Nurse (Required)

Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required) Education or Equivalent Experience:
H.S.
