Job Overview

A dynamic urology practice is seeking a highly motivated Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and assisting physicians with medical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle all patient care and assist physicians with medical procedures, injections, vitals, etc.
  • Conduct analysis on patients prior to seeing the physician.
  • Educate or communicate well with patients.
  • Work with the EMR (Electronic Medical Records) system, practice management, patient scheduling, and medical billing system.
Requirements:
  • Must have a current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA).
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and computer skills, specifically EMR (Electronic Medical Records), is required.
  • Previous work experience in a medical office or similar practice is preferred.
  • At least 1-3 years' experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to perform well in stressful situations.
  • Knowledge in healthcare systems operations such as EMR, Practice Management Solutions.
  • Vendor relations (for those MA's that are required to order office and clinical supplies).
  • Database management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Skill in using computer programs and applications including Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Delivers exceptional patient service throughout all interactions.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Complies with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
