Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Technician II to join our team at Goodwill Southern California. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and modifications to our buildings, utilities, grounds, furniture, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.
  • Conduct inspections and troubleshoot issues with plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Apply and maintain paint finishes on interior and exterior surfaces.
  • Inspect and repair woodwork, metal, gypsum, roofing, and other related materials and structures.
  • Install, modify, and maintain electrical systems, circuits, and equipment.
  • Perform interior and exterior cleaning functions, including demolition.
  • Create accurate scope of work and materials lists for repairs and modifications.
  • Follow department processes for work orders, service records, and other related documentation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop, vehicles, and work areas.
  • Travel extensively (over 50% of the time) to perform duties at various Goodwill locations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of computer programs in a Windows environment, including Word, Excel, and email.
  • Valid driver's license and state-required auto insurance.
  • Ability to work without supervision and handle confidential information.
  • Non-profit experience preferred.
  • Spanish/English bilingual preferred.
