Customer Service Specialist Job Description

This role is crucial to the success of our retail stores. As a Customer Service Specialist, you will work closely with customers to understand their needs, provide expert advice on Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend solutions to meet their requirements. Your primary goal will be to deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring maximum client satisfaction while consistently meeting sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide top-notch customer service, addressing customer inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist customers in selecting the right products and services, ensuring they have a positive shopping experience.
  • Build strong relationships with wholesale and retail customers, fostering trust and loyalty.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Meet and exceed sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis, contributing to the store's overall success.
  • Maintain accurate work order files and formulas, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Pull products from the sales floor or warehouse, as needed, to meet customer demands.
  • Tint and mix products to customer specifications, providing a high level of quality and service.
  • Stock shelves and set up displays, maintaining a visually appealing store environment.
  • Clean and maintain store equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Load and unload delivery trucks, assisting with inventory management.
  • Assist with deliveries, as needed, to ensure timely and efficient service.
  • Maintain in-stock and presentable condition assigned areas, adhering to company standards.
  • Stay up-to-date on products offered, discussing available options with customers to meet their needs.
  • Comply with inventory control procedures, ensuring accurate stock levels and minimizing waste.
  • Suggest ways to improve sales, contributing to the store's growth and success.
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future.
  • Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion.
  • Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • At least one year of experience working in a delivery, retail, or customer service position.
  • Previous work experience selling paint and paint-related products.
  • Previous work experience operating tinting and mixing equipment.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish.
