Job Title: Sinker EDM Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Sinker EDM Specialist to join our team at MGS Mfg. Group. As a Sinker EDM Specialist, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating all Makino EDM machines to meet our high standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up, program, and operate all Makino EDM machines to MGS standards.
  • Understand and perform to quality standards, methods, use of inspection devices, and reporting as required.
  • Read engineering drawings and use necessary measuring devices to produce or modify existing tooling, new tools, or old tools.
  • Repair or request replacement parts, tooling, or hardware as needed to maintain accurate inventory.
  • Coordinate with specialty machining areas for specific operations.
  • Work and train apprentices when applicable.
  • Maintain exceptional attendance and flexibility as work priorities vary.

Requirements:
  • Completion of a state indentured tool and die apprenticeship with journeyman card and/or accrued experience operating Sinker EDM Machines.
  • Knowledge of Pro-E is preferred but not required.
  • Lock out/Tag out and Forklift experience.
