Sinker EDM Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Sinker EDM Specialist. The Sinker EDM Specialist is responsible for set-up, program, and operate all Makino EDM machines to MGS standards.

Below are additional duties and responsibilities:

• Set - up, program, and operate all Makino EDM machines to MGS standards.
• Able to understand and perform to quality standards, methods, use of inspection devices and reporting as required.
• Read engineering drawings and use necessary measuring devices to produce or modify existing tooling, new tools, or old tools.
• Repair or request replacement parts, tooling or hardware as needed in order to maintain accurate inventory.
• Coordinate with specialty machining areas for specific operations.
• Work and train apprentices when applicable
• Maintain exceptional attendance and flexibility as work priorities vary.
• Any other duties as assigned.

A qualified Sinker EDM Specialist candidate would fulfill these requirements:

• Completion of a state indentured tool and die apprenticeship with journeyman card and/or accrued experience operating Sinker EDM Machines
• Knowledge of Pro-E is preferred, but not required.
• Lock out/Tag out and Forklift experience.
