Quality Inspector I Job Summary

The Quality Inspector I is a key member of our team, responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards in our products. This role involves performing routine mechanical or visual inspections to determine product acceptability, using pre-trained/determined methods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect inspection data and provide feedback to inspectors and supervision.
  • Learn blueprint reading, GD&T, and platework from experienced inspectors and/or supervision.
  • Regularly attend on-site and maintain punctuality.
  • May be required to work in other functional areas and/or facilities depending on business needs.
  • May be required to work overtime or alternate shifts based on business needs.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to clearly, concisely, and accurately convey ideas and information to others, both verbally and in written form.
  • Expected to contribute in some areas of inspection for which training has been provided.
  • Time management skills.
  • Communicate effectively to supervision verbally and in written format regarding problems and training needed.

Working Conditions:

  • Regularly perform repetitive tasks.
  • Work is primarily standing (90 + % of the shift) except for lunch and break periods.
  • Shifts are 8 hours, 10 hours, and 12 hours.
  • The duties of this job normally require exposure to a typical manufacturing environment.
