Mechanical Project Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Manager to oversee the planning, design, and execution of HVAC and plumbing systems in various high-profile projects across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Lead mechanical projects from inception to completion, ensuring successful delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Team Coordination: Collaborate with engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow.
  • Budget & Schedule Management: Develop project schedules, manage budgets, and ensure all mechanical systems (HVAC and plumbing) meet client specifications.
  • Client Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing expectations, providing updates, and addressing any project-related concerns.
  • Quality Control: Conduct inspections and ensure all installations are compliant with local codes and industry standards.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks, troubleshoot challenges, and implement solutions to maintain project momentum.
  • Documentation: Maintain thorough project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and project reports.
  • Travel: Travel to project sites across various locations as needed to oversee installations, coordinate with teams, and ensure smooth project execution.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: 5+ years of project management experience in HVAC and plumbing, with a solid track record of managing commercial or industrial projects.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Certifications: PMP, LEED, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems, codes, and industry practices.
