  • Program and Project Delivery: Demonstrate strong program and project governance and delivery skills, including initiation, planning, execution, status reporting, financials, resource management, risks, issues, dependencies, and prioritization for assigned projects.
  • Customer and Stakeholder Management: Take a leadership role in developing and maintaining productive relationships with key customers and stakeholders to facilitate cross-organizational communications, coordination, and transparency for assigned projects.
  • Business Case Development: Support business case development with measurable benefits and costs for assigned projects.
  • Interface with Stakeholders: Interface with stakeholders and senior management to confirm project sponsorship and support, agree on strategy, and report progress, achievements, significant issues, and risks.
  • Project Risk and Opportunity Management: Ensure all project participants are clear on project goals, benefits, methods, roles, and responsibilities are well understood, and facilitate the development and maintenance of project Risk and Opportunity Registers.
  • Commercial Management: Work directly with the senior leadership to ensure needs and expectations regarding communication, budget, approach, results, and timing are met.
Specific Duties
  • New Business Support/Contract Formation: Provide potential new business prospects/leads to BP&P Business Development.
  • Proposal Development: Participate in proposal development, including performing detailed reviews of customer requests for proposals and all supporting documents to ensure a thorough understanding of the project requirements.
  • Project Execution Planning: Develop a project execution strategy and gain approval from senior management as a basis for building the proposal framework.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Professional Project Management Certification: Professional Project Management (PMP) Certification a plus.
  • Committed to Safety: Committed to safety.
  • Communication and Leadership Skills: Polished, professional demeanor with ability to communicate and present (oral and written) complex issues internally and externally to management, customers, subcontractors, and other third parties.
  • Team Management: Ability to motivate, lead, gain consensus, and organize team members to analyze project execution-related issues, identify needs, recommend solutions, and implement appropriate actions.
  • Commercial Management: In-depth experience with contract development, negotiation, and administration, including change management, claims, dispute resolution, and legal interface.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiar with power and process plant technology, process systems, and standards.
  • Travel Requirements: Frequent travel to plant sites, Baker offices, and customer facilities required.
