Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Cath Lab Technologist to join our team at Healthcare Staffing Plus. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for assisting physicians in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Physicians in Diagnostic and Therapeutic Procedures
    • Scrub in for procedures, monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data, and ensure the procedure room is adequately prepared.
    • Participate in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities, and assist in the training of new staff.
  • Operate Diagnostic Imaging Equipment
    • Use computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues.
    • Position patients to scan specific areas of their bodies, and perform regular warm-up sequences on the CT scanner to prolong the life of the X-ray tubes.
  • Ensure Patient Safety and Comfort
    • Sterilize radiologic equipment to ensure the safety of patients.
    • Correctly interpret doctors' written scanning instructions, and administer radiocontrast agents to patients as needed.
    • Evaluate CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality, and explain scanning procedures to patients.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification
    • Graduate from a fully accredited Radiology Cardiovascular Tech program.
    • Active unencumbered Cardiovascular Radiology Tech Texas state license.
  • Experience and Skills
    • Minimum of two years of Cardiovascular Cath Lab Technologist experience.
    • Strong technical skills, and knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
    • Ability to stand for extended periods, and strong communication skills.
  • Additional Requirements
    • COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.
