Position Overview

The Colonial Williamsburg Company offers a unique guest experience that blends historical charm with modern amenities. Our facilities are designed to provide comfort and a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with local alcohol service regulations.
  • 1-2 years of experience in food and beverage service is preferred.
  • Possess a solid understanding of mixed drink preparation and service.
  • Successful candidates must obtain and maintain a current TIPS certification; those with an active certification should be ready to present it during the interview.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to uphold high service standards.
  • Serve a large volume of guests in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Learn and articulate information about the company and its historical significance.

Service Standards

Maintain a positive and enthusiastic demeanor; greet guests, colleagues, and supervisors with respect and professionalism; adhere to scheduled work hours and appearance standards; complete assigned tasks accurately and promptly.

Important Note: In accordance with local regulations, employment in alcohol-serving positions is restricted for individuals with certain criminal convictions within the past five years.

Qualifications

Skills and Experience: Relevant experience in hospitality and beverage service is essential.

Licenses & Certifications: TIPS certification is required.
