Job Summary

The Procurement Director will lead the procurement and supply chain functions across the organization, driving operational excellence and cost savings through strategic sourcing, supply chain optimization, and efficient resource management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic procurement plans, interpreting global industry trends, customer requirements, and business objectives.
  • Oversee supply chain operations, including sourcing, logistics, inventory management, and distribution.
  • Monitor market trends and adjust strategies to address potential supply disruptions.
  • Drive procurement strategies and supplier engagement to ensure achievement of business objectives.
  • Identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain and procurement processes.
  • Build and execute the procurement process to ensure timely fulfillment of procurement requests.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to build solid supply chain management.
  • Conduct procurement processes to ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulations.
  • Analyze data to drive decision-making and improve overall effectiveness.
  • Develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with organizational goals to build an effective and competitive supply chain.
  • Collaborate internally and externally to build the supply chain, drive cost reduction, and contract execution.
  • Drive supplier development to improve the quality system of key suppliers.
  • Provide fact-based analysis to support targeted competitive market positioning and growth.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of potential suppliers based on their quality management systems, capabilities, and past performance.
  • Utilize audits and site visits to evaluate supplier processes and quality controls.
  • Engage with client leaders to understand their requirements and address them in the solutions.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement and supply chain team.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business management, project management, engineering, or a relevant field. MBA is preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, including 5 years in a leadership role at least. Experience in Automotive and Commercial Vehicle industry is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, processes, and technologies.
  • Proven track record of leading procurement transformations and implementing processes.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Financial acumen and budgeting experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement technologies and tools.
  • Deep understanding of procurement compliance and risk management.
  • Experience with ERP systems and procurement software.
  • The ability to work with a diverse and cross-functional team and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel.
Language

English mandatory. Other language skills are helpful.

Salary

Range: 139K-181K DOE
