Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at OrthoCincy. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient care, including clinical and clerical duties.
  • Provide patient education and support, adhering to provider protocols.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient information in electronic health records.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with patients, providers, and colleagues.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and safety standards.
  • Perform other duties as necessary to support the practice.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical certification required, with one year of experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
  • CPR/AED and First Aid Certification preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including overtime and weekends, as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of electronic health records and practice management systems.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA guidelines.
  • Knowledge of medical practice care and terminology.
  • Strong critical thinking and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Work Environment

This role will be based in a medical office setting, with frequent standing and walking required. The ability to use appropriate body mechanics techniques when making patient transfers and assisting with walking, dressing, etc. is essential. Lifting up to 30 pounds may be required.
