Job Description

Teledyne Defense Electronics, LLC is seeking a skilled Electronics Assembler to join our team. As an Electronics Assembler, you will be responsible for performing a wide variety of electronic and electro-mechanical subassembly and assembly operations to build up and assemble simple units such as power supplies, modules, chassis drawers, cable harnesses, PC boards, electronic systems, and subassemblies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Soldering and Desoldering: Solder and desolder through-hole and surface mount technology (SMT) components using traditional soldering iron and hot air techniques.
  • Component Installation: Install and remove discrete components such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, inductors, etc., on to printed circuit assemblies (PCA's), panels.
  • Assembly and Inspection: Assemble connectors and perform interface gauge measurement, place and shrink marker sleeves and strain reliefs, and check mechanical length of cables.
  • Quality Control: Ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to company standards and regulations.
  • Communication: Read and interpret documents and drawings, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Physical Demands: Lift, move, and carry parts, bins, boxes, etc., and be mobile enough to move about the plant as needed to pull and move inventory, goods, and product.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 1-2 years related experience or MIL Standard Soldering Certification (plus).
  • Skills: Basic math skills, hand-eye coordination, and dexterity.
  • U.S. Person: Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
