Job Title: Branch Manager/Loan Officer

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, is seeking a highly skilled Branch Manager/Loan Officer to join our team at For Members Only Federal Credit Union (FMO).

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for directing, promoting, and coordinating the operations of FMO to optimize market share, improve efficiency and profitability, support the organization's core values, and achieve sales goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prospect for and acquire new members to achieve monthly goals
  • Add positive growth to the Credit Union by coaching staff to cross-sell products and services
  • Actively drive business development efforts through community functions, credit union events, and monthly business calls
  • Review and analyze loan applications in conjunction with loan/credit committees
  • Coach staff to ensure goals are reached by maximizing production with sales opportunities, coaching, profiling, referrals, driving sales, and marketing
  • Quarterly review and resolution of identified audit issues in preparation for NCUA and other compliance organization reviews
  • Ensure adherence to compliance regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Effectively utilize decision/exception tools to support valuable customer retention
  • Act as a financial coach by reviewing credit reports with members to identify areas of improvement and products/services that may benefit them
  • Identify and evaluate needs of potential members and refer them to partner departments as necessary
  • Develop and retain a high-performing sales/service team through leadership and coaching in all aspects of sales and operations
  • Conduct an annual Member Satisfaction Survey to gain member feedback and prepare response actions within a responsive timeframe
  • Responsible for monitoring the quality of member accounts and acting to prevent future fraudulent activity
  • Meet with and address members who have a complaint or concern about an occurrence
  • Review and negotiate contracts for review and approval, where appropriate
  • Assure the maintenance, confidentiality, and security of member files
  • Ensure all policies are followed, including cash handling, check hold policy, compliance, and password management
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business management, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills
  • Must be detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Must be able to multi-task, meet tight deadlines, and maintain composure under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Quantitative and analytical skills are a must
  • Knowledge of general office software, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to use financial and registration software
  • Member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, in good standing given preference
Work Environment:

The Branch Manager/Loan Officer will work in a fast-paced and demanding environment, overseeing multiple operations at one time, and facing deadlines as mandated by regulatory and Credit Union standards.

The majority of time will be spent in the office, but during meetings and conventions, the individual may work off-site. Initial travel may be required to market Credit Union to members and customers. Initial start-up work hours may be long.

The individual must be able to work a varying schedule, including evenings and weekends, as needed, and may work more than 40 hours per week based on demand.
