Job Summary

IRISNDT is seeking a detail-oriented HR Specialist to support our Human Resources department. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. Key Responsibilities
  • Employee Relations
    Act as the first point of contact for employees and managers on HR-related issues. Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention. Investigate employee concerns and grievances, ensuring a fair and consistent resolution in compliance with legal standards and company policies providing HR guidance when appropriate.
  • Performance Management
    Guide managers through the performance appraisal process, including goal setting, coaching, feedback, and performance improvement plans. Develop tools to monitor and assess individual and team performance. Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
    • Change Management
      Assist in supporting organizational change efforts, including restructuring, mergers, and acquisitions. Assist in developing communication and training programs to assist employees in transitioning through changes effectively.
      • Compliance and Risk Management
        Assist in ensuring HR policies and procedures comply with federal, state, and local employment laws (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, EEO). Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
        • Training and Development
          Identify training needs and work with our Quality department to help design and implement programs that enhance employee skills and leadership capabilities.
          • Compensation and Benefits Consultation
            Provide advice and support to managers on employee recognition programs, and benefit offerings to ensure competitive and fair employee rewards.
          Required Skills/Abilities
          • Attention to Detail
            A critical requirement, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
          • Organizational Skills
            Excellent organizational skills are essential for managing multiple documents and tasks efficiently. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
            • Confidentiality
              Ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with the highest level of professionalism, tact, and diplomacy.
              • Communication
                Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with team members and management. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
              Technical Proficiency
              • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
              • Ability to quickly learn, HRIS, and other related computer applications.
              • Strong understanding of HR practices, employment law, and organizational dynamics.
              Education and Experience
              • Education: Bachelor's degree in human resources, or a related field preferred.
              • Experience: 3+ years of HR experience, including at least 1 year as an HR Specialist or in a related HR role.
