Job Description

As a High School English Language Arts Teacher at Uncommon Schools, you will be responsible for creating a rigorous and engaging learning environment that fosters a love of literature and language in your students. You will develop and implement lesson plans that align with our curriculum and instructional strategies, and work closely with your colleagues to ensure that all students receive a high-quality education. You will also be responsible for analyzing student data and using it to inform your instruction, as well as partnering with parents and guardians to support student learning.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Strong knowledge of English Language Arts curriculum and instructional strategies
  • Experience working with students in urban schools and communities
  • Ability to analyze data and use it to inform instruction
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
