Speech and Language Pathologist Teacher- Itinerant

Job Summary
Speech Language Pathologists work with students to improve communication skills in articulation, expressive and receptive language, fluency, and augmentative communication. They evaluate and diagnose students, develop treatment goals, and work with teachers to improve communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and diagnose students to determine eligibility for communication services.
- Develop and implement Individualized Educational Plans and 504 treatment plans.
- Monitor student progress and complete progress reports.
- Present evaluation results at Team Meetings and develop goals for treatment plans.
- Provide speech and language therapy services for identified students.
- Communicate with students, parents, and others as needed.
- Work collaboratively with teachers to assist students' speech and language needs.
- Complete Medicaid logging monthly.
- Use instructional strategies for diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
- Model effective speech and language therapy strategies.
- Attend Speech and Language Therapy Department meetings.
- Use time effectively.
- Communicate high standards and expectations for all students.
- Perform duties as requested by the Special Education Administrator.
