Key Responsibilities
  • Teach and support students with special education needs, collaborating with general education teachers to develop and implement individualized education plans.
  • Deliver high-quality, standards-based lessons that cater to the unique needs of students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to implement Multi-Tiered System of Supports, including Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
  • Participate in staff development, mentoring, and coaching programs to enhance instructional practices.
Requirements
  • Minnesota teaching certificate with appropriate endorsements in Special Education.
  • Experience in teaching special education, with a focus on inclusive practices.
  • Strong classroom management skills and ability to work with students with diverse backgrounds and skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents.
