Position Summary

The Physical Therapist is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing physical therapy programs aimed at helping clients enhance their mobility, alleviate discomfort, boost strength, and prevent physical impairments.

The role involves conducting assessments, evaluations, and therapeutic interventions for clients affected by various conditions. The therapist will utilize established techniques and tools to deliver effective physical therapy while ensuring safety protocols are followed. Comprehensive documentation of client information is essential for evaluation purposes, and the therapist will develop and adjust treatment plans as needed. Educating clients and their families about treatment protocols and home exercises is a critical component of this role. Knowledge of age-appropriate treatments and assessments tailored to the needs of clients is required. The therapist will integrate current research findings into daily practice.

Therapists may work with individuals across all age groups with diverse diagnoses and conditions. Documentation must comply with departmental standards and regulatory requirements. The role includes providing specialized treatment aligned with professional guidelines.

Flexibility in accepting varied work schedules and assignments is expected. Participation in initiatives to promote the department and the organization is encouraged.

Interactions with external stakeholders, including healthcare providers, case managers, and insurance representatives, are part of the role. The therapist may also supervise assistants and students during client care and provide ongoing education and training to colleagues as directed by leadership.

Qualifications
Required education level in accordance with state licensure.

Must hold a valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the relevant state.

A valid driver's license may be necessary in certain situations.

Must obtain and maintain department-specific competencies and certifications, including Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers within the first 60 days of employment.
