Job Summary

Pipestone County Medical Center-Avera is seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide high-quality anesthesia services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver anesthesia services in patient care delivery, ensuring the highest level of patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Manage anesthesia staff in the OR, Outpatient Surgery, OB, and PACU, promoting a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Consult with medical staff, Surgical Services Nurse Manager, and other stakeholders to address problems and interpret policies and procedures.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities, maintaining a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Assist in formulating the budget, ensuring effective resource allocation and financial management.
  • Provide care in the pain management environment, addressing both psychosocial and physical needs of patients.
  • Function as a resource person and teacher, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development among colleagues.
  • Adhere to the mission, vision, and values of Pipestone County Medical Center-Avera, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and patient-centered care.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an approved professional CRNA program, with a Master's Degree required.
  • Previous experience preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Active CRNA license and Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the State of Minnesota or meeting the requirements of Multi-state licensure.
  • Certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist by the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists or re-certified by the Council on Re-certification of Nurse Anesthesia.
  • Certification as an APRN through the Minnesota Board of Nursing with designation specific to the board of practice.
  • Federal DEA certification as required by the state of Minnesota.
  • BLS (CPR) certification required.
  • Certification in CALS with newborn module OR ACLS, PALS, and NRP required.
