The Role:
Entegris is on the lookout for a Senior Manager of Quality Engineering to be part of our dynamic team. This pivotal leadership position reports directly to the Site Director and is responsible for managing a dedicated team of Quality Engineers and Lab Technicians, as well as individual contributors in Quality Engineering.

The team collaborates with various stakeholders to enhance manufacturing quality and optimize product yield. This role encompasses overseeing, guiding, and delivering both technical and strategic direction within a continuous manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities include ensuring adequate support for manufacturing processes, addressing staffing needs, escalating issues, and driving operational goals aligned with the overall business strategy.


Key Responsibilities:


Lead the engineering team, providing both technical and strategic guidance to define, maintain, and enhance manufacturing processes while standardizing practices across shifts.

Collaborate with the Product Engineering Team to establish quality requirements for new products. Facilitate local New Product Introduction (NPI) processes and the commercialization of innovative products.

Minimize variation in product and process parameters by identifying critical contributors to variation and implementing effective control systems.

Manage site quality through MRB, DRB completion, audit support, quality lab operations, and customer complaint investigations to meet responsiveness expectations.

Oversee product and non-product root-cause investigations and customer communications utilizing statistical analysis and engineering expertise, driving effective corrective and preventative actions.

Guide and develop personnel to enhance individual and organizational performance through performance-based management, including goal setting, coaching, training, and feedback.

Establish strong working relationships with EH&S, Customer Quality Engineering, Production, R&D, Sourcing, Planning, and both internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely execution of business plans.

Maintain awareness of plant business activities and drive necessary actions to uphold plant integrity. Facilitate site tours and audits (Customer, ISO, Business, etc.). Supervise operational and quality performance, improving systems, processes, and best practices.

Prioritize project schedules based on customer and business needs, considering risks, benefits, equipment efficiency, resource availability, and material supply.

Drive continuous improvement for key performance metrics (EH&S, productivity, quality, plant efficiency) while ensuring the integrity of product and quality systems data is upheld.
Ensure a robust training program is in place.

Provide guidance and training to staff, fostering team development to achieve goals, motivating individuals to deliver results, and recruiting high-quality talent.

Maintain and enhance cross-functional team relationships, working collaboratively to identify and resolve production and engineering challenges.
Ensure adherence to policies and processes, defining training requirements and ensuring teams are fully equipped.

What We Seek:
A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Polymer, Chemical, Material Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

7+ years of experience in manufacturing and leading a Quality Engineering function within a manufacturing setting, ideally in a high-tech, high-volume product line.

Demonstrated proficiency in quality, operations, development, or applications engineering.
Strong communication skills at various organizational levels.

A strategic mindset with a vision for the future, coupled with the experience to execute plans effectively.

Engineering knowledge and experience in manufacturing, quality systems, and systematic problem-solving.

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:


Proven experience in the semiconductor or polymer processing industry preferred, or a combination of 5+ years of relevant education and related manufacturing or quality experience.

Experience with external relationships and communications, whether with suppliers or customers, is preferred.
Lean/Black Belt certification.

Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing tools, including Value Stream Mapping, identification of the 8 forms of waste, and expertise in 5S+1 methodologies.

A solid understanding of Design of Experiments.
Strong knowledge and background in statistics, SPC/SQC, process control, 8D methodology, metrology, and Chemistry. Familiarity with Six Sigma tools for variability reduction and process enhancement.
Ability to design and develop mechanical systems and equipment.
Experience in developing and executing qualification requirements and plans.
Experience in implementing and supporting automation solutions.
Experience in inspecting and testing equipment, both contact and non-contact.
