Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Blood Collection Staff to join our team at the American Red Cross. As a Blood Collection Staff, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient collection of blood donations. Your expertise and dedication will help us provide lifesaving blood products to patients in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with our team to transport and set up equipment at blood drive locations
  • Create a welcoming and comfortable environment for volunteer donors
  • Follow all safety procedures while collecting blood donations
  • Utilize your healthcare and customer service skills to assist with every step of the blood collection process
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills
  • A current, valid driver's license with good driving record
  • Physical requirements may include lifting, pushing, or pulling heavy weights, good manual dexterity, and ability to sit or stand for long periods
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (CNA, MA, EMT, etc.)
  • Prior leadership experience
