Job Title: X-Ray Technologist PER DIEM Langone Orthopedic Center

NYU Langone Health is a world-class, patient-centered, integrated academic medical center, known for its excellence in clinical care, research, and education. Our team is seeking a skilled X-Ray Technologist to join our Langone Orthopedic Center team on a per diem basis.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented X-Ray Technologist to perform medically prescribed radiographic procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workspace, ensuring the proper use and maintenance of equipment, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform radiographic procedures in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the radiographic area and equipment.
  • Ensure the proper use and maintenance of equipment, including X-ray machines and related devices.
  • Provide exceptional patient care, including explaining procedures and answering patient questions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate and timely completion of radiographic procedures.
  • Follow established protocols for radiation safety and patient protection.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Certificate from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
  • New York State license or temporary permit to practice Diagnostic Radiography.
  • Diagnostic Radiology Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • College graduate.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $33.14 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
